Advice Line Team

The LTU Advice Team are a dedicated team of experienced Officials all of whom worked for the Bank before leaving to work for LTU. Like all our Officials, the Advice Team are employed and paid by the Union. This is extremely important and enables them to advise members on any aspect of working for the Bank.

Graeme Down - Advice and Representation Manager

Graeme joined LTU in 1999 having previously worked for the Bank for 15 years. Graeme has carried out a variety of duties whilst working for LTU. Between 2003 and 2009 Graeme’s principle responsibilities were representing members, and providing advice and guidance on work related issue and since 2009 has been managing the Advice Team.

Lee Bowman

Lee first became interested in LTU when she used the 24-Hour Advice Line service to help her resolve a work related issue. Lee joined the Advice Team in 2005 after moving to Bedford from the North East where she had worked as an LTU Area Officer for five years.

Eddie Clark

Eddie joined Lloyds Bank in 1969 and retired in 2004 as a Relationship Director in Corporate Banking. During his career he worked in the Branch Network, Marketing, HR and Corporate Banking. Eddie now works on the Advice Team and also represents members at individual hearings.

Nigel Ransome

Prior to joining the Union’s Advice Team Nigel worked for the Bank for 24 years. Whilst working for the Bank Nigel was an active Union member covering the role of a JAOR, visiting different Bank offices, and was a District Committee member. Nigel also held positions on the General Council and Executive Committee. Nigel now works on the Advice Team and also represents members at individual hearings.

Simon Reynolds

Simon worked for Lloyds Bank for 22 years in the Branch Network before joining the Union in 1996. During his time in the Bank, Simon was an elected representative of the Union and served as Chairman of the Southern District Committee and also on the Union’s Assistant Managers and Executive Committees. Simon now works full time for the Union on the Advice Team and represents members at individual hearings.

Sue Silver

Joined Lloyds Bank in 1968 and worked in the Branch Network, mainly in Central London, until her retirement in 2002. Whilst in the Bank she was actively involved with Union work as a Branch Representative and for many years served on the District Committee and latterly on the General Council. She was also a JAOR for Central London. Sue joined LTU in November 2002 as an Area Officer and has been a member of the Advice Team for 3 years.

John Burton

John joined Lloyds Bank in 1972 and worked predominantly in the Branch Network including 3-4 years at Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire Area Director Offices. A recent addition to the Advice Team, John now provides advice and guidance on work related issues.

Joe Harrison

Joe previously worked for Lloyds TSB as a Local Director in Community Bank and later as an Area Director in Commercial Banking. He joined LTU in 2002, and represents members in grievance and disciplinary cases.
