Welfare/Counselling
We're not just interested in problems at work. The Union also performs an important welfare and support role for members who face illness, medical, social, financial or domestic difficulties or stress.

For most of us there is an understandable reluctance to involve other people in our problems. But all to often non-work related problems can affect our jobs, with serious consequences. If you have a problem with which you need help we want to hear from you.

Our Advice Team has considerable experience in counselling members regardless of whether their problems are directly work related or not. And, the Union retains a professionally accredited, independent Counsellor who will, if necessary, see members on a one-to-one basis. This service is free and confidential between the Counsellor and member.

Naturally our welfare and support services are provided with the utmost confidentiality and if you would like to take advantage of this service please phone the Union's 24 Hour Advice Line on 01234 262868.
