Large Pay Rises Agreed For Many Advisers

LTU has reached agreement with the Bank that will lead to large Pay Increases for many Telephone Banking Advisers.

It will mainly benefit Band 8 Advisers in the following Centres:

* Bridgend
* Newport
* Sunderland
* Glasgow

This is a major breakthrough for LTU, which has been alone in campaigning for better Pay in Telephone Banking. It will mean that on 31st December, many Telephone Banking Advisers will have their pay increased by over £700.

Telephone Banking: Pay Rates Increased For New Staff

The Bank has increased Pay Rates for all new staff working in four of its Telephone Banking Centres.

These plans for limited pay increases in Telephone Banking involve starting salaries for Tier 1 Band 8 Advisors automatically increasing by £581, with effect from 1st September both to new starters and staff who are currently at the Entry Level of the Effective Levels system.

However, these increases will apply only to staff at Bridgend, Newport, Sunderland and Glasgow.

New Telephony Sick Pay Policy: Your Questions Answered

Members will be aware that on 1st January, Senior Management will begin to pilot introducing new Sick Pay arrangements for Telephony Staff.

This will amount to a serious assault on a key feature of staff terms and conditions of employment; slashing guaranteed Sick Pay to between 10% and 23% of current levels.

At first, the policy will be Piloted just for New Entrants to the Bank. Depending upon the Bank’s view of the ‘success’ of the Pilot, the Bank will make a decision on whether to extend the arrangements to all other Telephony Staff on a permanent basis.

Solent To Withdraw 'Rogue' Compassionate & Emergency Leave Policy
