650 New Privilege Managers
Date: 18th Mar 2003
Lloyds TSB’s current relationship management service is set for a complete overhaul. At the moment the Bank has 950,000 Personal Choice customers but that figure is set to increase to 1.8 million by the end of 2004. In order to deliver this new service Lloyds TSB has said that it will be increasing the number of Personal Choice Managers (PCM) from 650 to 1300, again by Q2 2004. 500 of these new Personal Choice Managers will be recruited in 2003. The Personal Choice service itself will be upgraded to 'club class' levels renamed 'Privilege' and launched in April 2003.

LTU has said that whilst this announcement is good news and offers greater promotion opportunities for existing staff, there are a number of areas which still need further discussion. For example, how will Personal Account Managers, or even Mortgage Arrangers/Advisers, be read across onto the PCM package? LTU is also concerned about the impact the new service will have on targets both for PAM's who will lose their best customers to the new service and PCM's who will have to build relationships with new customers. Discussions between LTU and the Bank are continuing.
