Disciplinary Cases Rise By 215%
|
Date: 16th Sep 2003
LTU expresses concern at the steep rise in the number of Disciplinary Proceedings taken against staff.
We have told the Bank that we are concerned by the explosion in the number of disciplinary issues now being faced by its staff and our members.
Since 2001 LTU has recorded increases of:
215% in Disciplinary Cases
71% in Grievances
45% in Harassment Cases
120% in members requiring sickness representation, and
150% in special investigations requiring representation
Even the Bank’s own figures confirm these findings and we are pressing for a comprehensive joint review into how staff problems are handled by the Bank.
It is staggering to note that 17,000 LTU members have requested Union advice or assistance in the last 12 months alone
a figure equivalent to 40% of all staff working in UKRB today.
