So far this year LTU has been the only source of reliable information on the subject of exporting jobs overseas.
Only recently a Business TV communication to Managers claimed that today’s headlines would become tomorrow’s “fish and chip paper”.
It failed to mention that another briefing to one group of managers had stated that the Bank’s intention was to transfer 60% of its operation to India with only 40% remaining in the UK.
On top of this there are still no guarantees regarding the possibility of compulsory redundancies.
In the meantime LTU’s campaign proceeds and we are receiving an overwhelming response from customers who are signing our petition in large numbers all around the country. Our target is to collect 500,000 customer signatures.
